Job Details:
Job Summary: You will assist in ensuring customer service and safety within the Transportation Operations team, communicating with drivers, customers, load planning, sales, claims, road service, and facilities. Responsibilities include creating ad hoc reports, performing administrative tasks, and potentially supporting fleet managers under the supervision of the terminal manager. This role offers valuable insights into leadership and safety principles and opportunities for networking across various business units.
Requirements:
- Education: Current junior or senior with at least one year remaining; preferred majors include Supply Chain, Business, Animal Science, or related fields.
- Experience: Previous work experience in any field is beneficial.
- Computer Skills: Proficiency in Excel, with familiarity in Word and PowerPoint.
- Special Skills: Strong multitasking abilities, effective written and verbal communication skills, a motivated self-starter, and a willingness to engage with people.
- Work Hours: Must be able to work 40 hours through the summer and up to 20 hours throughout the school year as classes allow.
