About the Role:
The Private Wealth Management (PWM) Talent Team includes our Academy, Admin, Human Resources, Recruiting and Transition teams. These teams focus on Baird’s PWM talent, from retaining our talent through education and development for our associates to reach their full potential and meet the needs of the business to attracting and hiring new associates and transitioning experienced Financial Advisors and their teams to Baird.
Our interns gain real-world, meaningful work experience, are treated as valuable team members and have the ability to directly contribute to the success of the team. Interns apply knowledge gained in the classroom to develop relevant professional experience while creating meaningful relationships. PWM Talent Team interns will learn about Baird’s Private Wealth Management business unit, how the Talent Team partners with their internal clients and work on a wide variety of projects with each sector of the team.
This internship requires working part time during the school semesters, 15-20 hours per week, and working full time during the summer, 37.5-40 hours per week, Monday-Friday in our downtown Milwaukee, WI office. We are seeking a local student who can start in January 2026.
The Impact You’ll Make:
Support various projects for the PWM Talent Team (Academy, Admin, Human Resources, Recruiting and Transition teams)
Prepare for training and development classes and programs
Contribute to marketing initiatives, such as creating and preparing marketing materials, managing team newsletters, planning and executing team events, etc.
Assist with recruitment needs, such as sourcing candidates, scheduling interviews, etc.
Manage event and meeting preparation, such as creating invitations, signage, ordering catering, etc.
Creating and updating presentations using PowerPoint, Canva and Excel
Prepare and process paperwork and documents
Perform other duties and project support as needed
What You’ll Bring to Baird:
Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in human resources, marketing, communications, business or related degree
Anticipated graduation date of May 2027 or later
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to connect clearly and professionally with clients and associates
Organizational excellence, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate strong attention to detail and ensure high-quality and on-time delivery
High level of motivation, proactivity and strategic thinking, with a strong commitment to learning and contributing effectively
Collaborative mindset that values teamwork, diverse perspectives and building meaningful relationships
Prior experience in an office setting is preferred
