This position is expected to start around August or September 2025 and continue through the Fall term (ending approximately December 2025) or continuing into Winter/Spring 2026 if available and there is an opportunity to do so. We ask for a minimum of 12 weeks, full-time and on-site, for most internships. Our internship program is for students who are actively enrolled in an academic program. Recent graduates seeking employment after graduation and not returning to school should apply for full-time positions, not internships.   

International Students: If your work authorization is through CPT, please consult your school on your ability to work 40 hours per week before applying. You must be able to work 40 hours per week on-site. Many students will be limited to part-time during the academic year.

About the Team

The Chassis Controls team is looking for a Traction and Stability Control engineer intern to develop and calibrate world class Chassis Controls features. As an intern on the team, you’ll get exposure to the full life cycle, as the team owns the full vertical stack and integration in house. Determine what problems we need to solve, develop software, tune the calibration, define the attribute, investigate service issues, address customer feedback, influence next generation controls architecture, and set the standard for our industry.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and calibrate Traction and Stability Control software 

  • Work with cross functional stakeholders to define and develop internally and externally requested features 

  • Develop closed loop simulation for chassis controls systems  

  • Chassis Controls feature development (Embedded C and simulation) 

  • Tool development for vehicle level metrics in both simulation and in-vehicle 

  • Develop expertise across many systems – torque path, brake controls, chassis systems 

Job Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field of study with a graduation date between December 2025-December 2026 
  • Proficiency in C and Python 

  • Vehicle Dynamics and automotive fundamentals 

  • FSAE or similar experience is a plus 

  • Proficiency in controls is a plus 

  • Experience calibrating Chassis Controls systems is a plus 

  • Familiarity with MISRA C a plus  

  • Familiarity with Hazard and Risk Assessment (HARA) and/or Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) a plus  

  • Experience with CAN and Vector CAN tools is a plus
