Position Title: Pipeline RR:  Bell Labs Core Research Intern
Duration: 12 weeks 
Dates: June - August 2026
Location: Naperville, IL| Murray Hill, NJ| Sunnyvale, CA| Dallas, TX

Education Requirements:
GPA Requirement: 3.5 or higher
Currently enrolled in a Doctoral or Graduate Program with a concentration in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Applied Mathematics, Computational Sciences, or a related STEM discipline at an accredited university in the United States.
 

• Strong foundation in quantitative analysis and problem-solving.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, C/C++, MATLAB, or similar).
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a research-driven, collaborative environment.

It would be nice if you also had:

• Experience with AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Research exposure in algorithms, networking, quantum, or optics.
• Prior publications or conference presentations.
  
   

• Conduct research in one or more areas such as AI/ML, data science, quantum systems, optical networking, algorithms, or advanced computing.
• Translate theoretical models into prototypes and simulations that inform real-world technology solutions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams across physics, mathematics, computer science, and engineering.
• Present your findings and recommendations to researchers and stakeholders at the end of your internship.
