We’re offering two exciting Co-op placements within our IT department: one with the Cybersecurity Governance, Risk & Advisory team and one with the Quality Engineering team. These roles provide hands-on experience in cybersecurity and software engineering, and are ideal for students who are curious, driven, and eager to contribute to meaningful work.

This posting also serves as a pipeline for future roles in 2026. In your cover letter, please indicate:

Both roles are full-time for the duration of the term and will be posted internally and externally.

Cybersecurity Governance, Risk & Advisory

Duration: 4 months
Location: Hybrid (Markham office preferred)

What you’ll do:

  • Respond and triage inquiries from team communication channels

  • Support security training and awareness initiatives

  • Collaborate with stakeholders on business impact evaluations

  • Work with advisors in security engagement requests and risk evaluations

  • Support penetration testing coordination and remediation tracking

  • Assist in maintaining cybersecurity policies and standards

What you’ll bring:

  • Enrolled in a cybersecurity-related program

  • Strong interest in cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST CSF, IRAM2)

  • Familiarity with security concepts and technologies

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

  • A curious mindset and eagerness to learn

What you’ll gain:

  • Real-world exposure to cybersecurity advisory and risk management

  • Experience with corporate security processes and frameworks

  • Insight into penetration testing and policy development

  • Collaboration with a cross-functional cybersecurity team

Quality Engineering

Duration: 8 months
Hiring Manager: Kashyap Patel (TBC)
Location: Hybrid (Markham office preferred)

What you’ll do:

  • Develop and maintain software applications and automation test frameworks

  • Collaborate with test engineers and participate in code reviews

  • Troubleshoot and debug software issues

  • Build and enhance automation for web, API, and data testing

  • Assist in requirements gathering and solution design

  • Contribute to documentation and defect triage meetings

What you’ll bring:

  • Enrolled in Computer Science, Engineering, or related program

  • Basic knowledge of Java and/or Python

  • Familiarity with automation tools (Selenium, Playwright) and JIRA

  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills

  • A collaborative mindset and attention to detail

What you’ll gain:

  • Exposure to automation frameworks and agile methodologies
