We are committed to providing our Co-ops/Interns with a student experience that provides a supportive and engaging learning environment while developing skills and business acumen. Students will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of experiences including our Corporate Speaker Series, Fireside Chats, Volunteer opportunities and Networking events.

Eligibility Note: To qualify for a student (Co-op/Internship) opportunity, students must be enrolled in their academic studies at a post-secondary institution (university/college) and must be returning to school after completion of their work term with QuadReal.  If you are a student registered in an official co-op program at your post-secondary institution and completion of a final work term is a mandatory component for you to graduate, you are eligible to apply with the understanding that you will leave QuadReal at the end of your work term or have the possibility to be considered for full-time opportunities.

Based in Toronto, the Co-op/Intern, Health & Safety (OHS) will report to the Manager, Occupational Health and Safety and will work extensively with all members of QuadReal’s Health & Safety team. The OHS Intern will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day management of all aspects of the health & safety program. The OHS Intern will require a strong attention to detail and the ability to organize, prioritize and manage time in a fast-paced environment towards appropriately bringing various tasks to completion.

What You Will Experience:

  • Provide overall support to the OHS Department in the implementation of the Health and Safety program for QuadReal’s properties 

  • Participate in the monthly safety program review by verifying that required submissions from properties are complete and compliant.

  • Support the collection and organization of evidence for Health, Safety program elements.

  • Assist in the development of safety training/talks.

  • Assist with the relaunch of QuadReal’s Health & Safety Standard Operating Procedures. 

What You Will Bring:

  • Enrolled in a post-secondary Environmental Program with a focus on Health & Safety  

  • Passion for Health and Safety compliance and management  

  • Strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively using a range of media 

  • A strong work ethic, ability to allocate time effectively and work independently; and ability to multitask 

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint 

  • Bilingualism (French) is not required but would be considered a strong asset.
