Accounting Intern

Basic Job Functions:

Nucor LMP is looking to hire an Accounting Intern. The selected intern will work with the LMP Team  to  help  ensure  compliance  with  GAAP  and  tax  reporting  requirements,  and  maximize  profitability.  Tasks may include but are not limited to accounts payable and receivable, account reconciliations, cost accounting and profitability analysis, tax responsibilities, ERP training and optimization, and other financial or administrative tasks as needed.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

·    Junior or Senior year college student pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
·    Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
·    Solid communication skills, both written and verbal.
·    Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
·    Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) preferred.
·    Interest in learning about financial operations within a manufacturing environment.

Compensation Data

This internship offers financial compensation based on academic level and prior experience. The selected intern may choose to complete the internship for academic credit or opt out, depending on individual needs and institutional requirements.
