The Aerospace Corporation is hiring an Undergraduate Digital Design Engineering Intern for the Digital and Integrated Circuit Electronics Department (DICED) within the Mission Payloads Division (MPD). This position will be full-time, 100% onsite at our office in for an opportunity in El Segundo, CA.

Work Model
This position will be located 100% onsite in El Segundo, CA.
What You’ll Be Doing
In this position you will work with our circuit design team and support our customers to optimize the design and development of digital and mixed-signal circuits and systems. Tasks will include supporting the design, analysis, modeling, simulation, and characterization of high-speed digital and mixed-signal circuits. Tasks may include one or more of the following:
Work with senior staff to apply good practices for FPGA design and verification
Work with senior staff members to design, develop, test, and verify space electronic products
Work with senior members of the digital design team to review the analysis and assessment of contractor-produced digital and mixed signal space electronics boards and systems
Support board and unit level electronic hardware development: design, modeling, simulation, and testing
Support hands-on laboratory prototyping and data acquisition measurements

What You Need to Be Successful
Minimum Requirements:
Currently enrolled full-time in an accredited college/university program pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline
Availability to work full-time for a minimum of 10 weeks outside of university term and ability to return to a degree program fulltime after completion of the internship
Junior class standing completed by internship start date
Must have a minimum GPA of 3.3
Knowledge of digital electronic circuits design, analysis, test, and verification
Must have an understanding of digital logic design, embedded systems, and electronic circuits
Must have good communication skills and the ability to effectively interface with other engineers
This position requires ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the US government. U.S citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
GPA 3.5 or higher
Active security clearance
Experience with FPGA design, digital circuit design, PWB circuit layout, circuit modeling/simulation and testing
Ability to be flexible enough to work at both the component and system levels of abstraction

Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skills.
