The Role  

We're seeking enthusiastic NLP Interns to join our team in developing cutting-edge AI solutions focused on Natural Language Processing (NLP), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and Large Language Models (LLMs). This internship is perfect for Master's or PhD students who are passionate about applying their academic knowledge to real-world challenges, collaborating with industry experts, and gaining hands-on experience in a supportive, innovative environment. Responsibilities 

  • Assist in designing and implementing NLP models and RAG systems under the guidance of senior team members.
  • Support the Agents Task Force by contributing to the creation and deployment of intelligent agents to enhance automation, decision-making, and customer interaction capabilities.
  • Aid in the customization, fine-tuning, and alignment of Large Language Models for specific industry use cases.
  • Contribute to building data processing pipelines and experimental setups for model training, testing, and evaluation.
  • Help create benchmark datasets for LLM systems and collaborate with academic partners on avant-garde methodologies to address performance challenges in LLM and RAG systems.
  • Participate in team discussions to brainstorm AI solutions and gain insights into strategic project planning.
  • Assist in creating technical documentation and presenting findings or progress updates to internal teams.
  • Stay curious by exploring emerging AI tools, NLP techniques, and research trends with mentorship from experienced developers.
  • Work alongside world-class scientists and engineers to deliver top-tier AI products tailored for financial and insurance clients

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Currently enrolled in a master’s program in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Strong foundational programming skills in Python (knowledge of additional languages like Go or C++ is a plus but not required).
  • Basic understanding of NLP concepts and techniques (e.g., tokenization, embeddings, sentiment analysis, or text classification).
  • Familiarity with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn through coursework, personal projects, or research.
  • Interest in or exposure to LLMs and RAG systems through academic studies, personal projects, or internships.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members, share ideas, and discuss challenges.
  • Currently enrolled in or recently completed a Master’s or PhD program in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Linguistics, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) through coursework, personal exploration, or projects.
  • Contributions to research papers, conference submissions, or open-source AI/NLP projects.
  • Basic knowledge of version control systems like Git for collaborative development.
  • Enthusiasm for learning, a proactive attitude, and a passion for solving complex problems in NLP and AI.

Compensation 

The expected hourly rate for this role is $43.27/hour.
