The Supply Chain Management Analytics team is focused on transforming data into actionable business value — particularly through the lens of financial visibility, procurement intelligence, and strategic decision-making. We develop insights that not only help optimize internal performance but also support broader economic understanding. A key focus area includes analyzing buyer and supplier network data to surface insights that help anticipate macroeconomic trends, such as inflationary pressures, supply chain disruptions, commodity pricing shifts, and regional economic activity. Our work drives both tactical improvements and long-term business strategy across SAP’s Business Network, Procurement, and Concur solutions.

What you bring:

We’re looking for someone who takes initiative, perseveres, and stay curious. You like to work on meaningful innovative projects and are energized by lifelong learning.

•    Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in one of the following fields (or a closely related discipline): Economics, Finance, Business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Information Systems, Supply Chain Management
•    Coursework or concentration in macroeconomics, procurement, or data analytics is highly preferred.
•    Availability to work out of the Pittsburgh office 2 – 3 days per week
•    Basic understanding of data analysis concepts and business processes related to procurement, finance, or economics.
•    Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a global team.
•    Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or SAP Analytics Cloud).
•    Exposure to SQL, Excel, or any data querying tools.
•    Basic knowledge of procurement and supply chain concepts (e.g., supplier data, spend analysis).
•    Interest in economic trend analysis and connecting business data to broader macroeconomic indicators.
•    Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and curiosity to explore data from different angles.
•    Ability to communicate technical insights to non-technical stakeholders.
•    Previous internship, coursework, or project experience involving data analysis, procurement systems, or economic research.
•    Familiarity with SAP tools or ERP systems is a plus.
