The primary responsibility is designing, building, testing, and maintaining large-scale data-intensive applications and data products. The Software Engineer Summer Intern will have the opportunity to work closely with software engineers, data scientists, investment bankers and senior management across the Firm. We’re all-in on the cloud and are a leader in the adoption of open source, RESTful APIs, microservices, and containers.Successful candidates should have a strong programming and quantitative background. You’ll need to have:A Bachelors or advanced degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent.Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or JavaScript. Experience with object-oriented programming.Excellent object-oriented or functional analysis and design skills.Strong knowledge and prior experience with the full software development lifecycle (requirements gathering, designing, building, testing and maintenance).Experience in relational databases such as MySQL, Postgres, or NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or ElasticSearch.Familiarity with data structures, storage systems, and cloud infrastructure such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.A passion for building quality software.The ability to work both independently and as a team player. Does this sound like you?Apply!
