Work as part of a team to provide engineering support to ensure reliability, availability, efficiency, and functionality of all equipment, processes and projects. (Summer 2025)

Job Description

Key Accountabilities

• Work with engineering, operations, maintenance, and other Davis-Besse personnel to ensure consistent, practical, and effective engineering solutions.

• Incumbents have the opportunity rotate through the different areas of the plant to gain a working knowledge of those areas of the plant. Areas may include, but are not limited to Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, and Chemistry / Environmental Safety

• Will be assigned various engineering projects.　

• Comply with safety policy and procedures to ensure a safe working environment

• Possess the ability to work independently and in a fast paced environment

Education, Experience, & Skill Requirements

• Preference for mechanical engineering students. Related engineering disciplines will also be considered.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident. Students sponsored through Optical Practical Training (OPT) or Curricular Practical Training (CPT) are　NOT　eligible for this internship.

• Must be currently enrolled in a 4-year institution of higher education and pursuing a Bachelor of Science or Master’s Degree in one of our desired engineering disciplines.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Access desired

• Excellent verbal & written communication skills; presentation skills desired

• Official transcripts must be received from your school prior to start date

• Must be in good academic standing with your school
