Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer (Ashaway, RI)
Job Code: MF1-Intern
Job Location: On-Site Ashaway, Rhode Island
Job Description:
- Creates and maintains production build documents including but not limited to work instructions, routers, and work order notes.
- Assesses production risks and issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity and quality goals and objectives.
- Recommends enhancements to work centers and processes.
- Ensures manufacturing processes are followed on projects.
- Implement and analyze manufacturing plans and projects
- Design develops and transfer manufacturing and engineering tools, strategies and systems
- Develop manufacturing strategies for specific products and processes
- Interface with engineering in coordinating the release of new products
- Estimate manufacturing costs, determine time standards, and make recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new or existing product lines
- Maintain records and reporting systems for coordination of manufacturing operations
Qualifications:
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related field
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge in Lean Manufacturing, AutoCAD and/or Pro-E, Six Sigma, technical writing, MS Project and/or MS SharePoint
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C, Denver, or NYC areas is $25.00 - $47.50. The salary range for this role in Colorado state, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, and Vermont is $22.00 - $40.50. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. L3Harris also offers a variety of benefits, including relocation stipend, 401(k), EAP, and company-paid holidays. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
