Private, Personal, and Digital Banking Summer Intern 2026
The Private, Personal, and Digital Banking (PP&D) Summer Internship is designed to develop future leaders in retail and digital banking. This program offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in delivering innovative banking solutions and exceptional client service in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.

What You’ll Be Doing
Please note, this is a general application to the CIBC intern program. More details about the team and position will be shared during interviews.
- Support Client-Facing Teams: Assist in day-to-day operations of retail and digital banking, including account management, client onboarding, and service delivery.
- Digital Banking Projects: Participate in the development and testing of new digital banking features, mobile app enhancements, and online banking solutions.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze client data and banking trends to support business decisions and improve the client experience.
- Process Improvement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency and service quality.
- Client Engagement: Help prepare presentations, reports, and digital content to support client meetings and outreach initiatives.
- Market Research: Conduct research on digital banking trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies to inform business strategies.
- Administrative Support: Assist with administrative tasks and special projects to support the broader team and business objectives.
- Learning & Networking: Engage in learning sessions, mentorship, and networking opportunities to broaden your understanding of retail and digital banking.
Who You Are
- Currently enrolled as a US-based college student, graduating in December 2026 or later.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 preferred.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong critical thinking, writing, and analytical skills combined with excellent interpersonal abilities.
- Demonstrated work ethic and a commitment to clients, colleagues, and the communities we serve.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and Word required; experience with digital platforms, data analysis, or project management tools is a plus.
- Interest in digital innovation, client service, and retail banking.
The anticipated start date for the Summer Internship is June 2026.

INTERNSHIPS: At CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary equivalent to $25.00 per hour for the market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position.
This position does not offer visa sponsorship.
