Northrop Grumman is seeking a Systems and Software Quality Assurance Engineer Intern to join the Aeronautics Systems Intern Program. This position will be located in Oklahoma City, OK.

The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Aeronautics Systems sector in the Aerostructures group.

The selected candidate will perform the following, including, but not limited to:

  • The System and Software Quality Assurance Engineer Intern will participate in peer reviews, will document defects, issues, discrepancies, track them through closure in the appropriate tools and ensure compliance to the engineering peer review process.

  • The System and Software Quality Assurance Engineer Intern will review tests, ensure that all test steps are marked/checked off in the Test Procedure as they are executed, and all steps that are not executed are clearly marked and documented in the Test Procedure and/or Test Log as not executed

  • The System and Software Quality Assurance Engineer Intern will develop, modify and maintain customized or standardized applications using software engineering best practices and standards.

  • The System and Software Quality Assurance Engineer Intern will work with an experienced Software Engineer to learn about software processes and procedures.

Basic Qualifications

A candidate, regardless of age and hiring source, must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:

  • Be enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university AND graduating after August 2026.

  • Be majoring in Software Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or other STEM major.

  • Be available to work part-time (10 hours per week) from Jan 26 to Jun 26 and full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during summer 2026

  • Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.25/4.0 or higher.

  • Previous internship/co-op experience, leadership & teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities (professional/community/extracurricular)

Intern Pay Range

  • Undergraduate degrees (Including graduating students planning on attending/enrolled in a full-time Master’s program): $17.00 to $31.25 per hour

  • Master’s: $2.50 to $38.50 per hour

Primary Level Salary Range: $1.00 - $1.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
