Operations Engineering Co-op/Intern
Where will you work:
Riverview Manufacturing Facility: 8813 US Highways 41 South. Riverview, FL

As an Operations Engineering Co-op/Intern, you will provide technical support primarily to plant operations groups from troubleshooting complex systems to optimizing production processes. Full time Co-Op/Internship. Typically, 36-40 hours a week on site.
9/80 schedule if applicable
What will you do?
Day to day work assignments assigned by the supervisor and could include:
Identify and resolve root causes of issues in phosphate processing and production systems.
Improve the efficiency of evaporation circuits, filtration equipment, and overall plant systems.
Evaluate and enhance the performance of unit operations in the Sulfuric Acid and Phosphoric Acid departments
Participate in the development and implementation of tools for the Remote Control Center.
Perform duties as assigned.
Communicate with various levels of personnel throughout the organization, including management, plant operators, engineers (of various disciplines), lab personnel, and contractors
Participation in department meetings and meetings specific to the project assignment
Adhering to Mosaic’s mission, guiding principles and priorities, and key competencies.
What do you need for this role?
Sophomore level by May 2026 or higher pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
Preferred: Experience with OIS, PI Vision, Asset Frameworks, SAP, and PowerBI.
2.75 GPA or higher
1-2 years of experience volunteering, working with student/school organizations, or work is preferred.
Previous internship or co-op experience is preferred.
Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license - You will need to be able to travel to and from sites and/or office.
Ability to work full time and be a student in standing at the time of the co-op/internship
Selected candidates will be required to successfully complete the following: Post-offer/pre-placement drug and alcohol screening, background check, physical, functional capacity examination.
Basic computer skills are required.
Experience working in a team environment is a must.
Familiarity with an industrial environment is highly desirable.
Effective verbal communication skills is a plus.
Physical work environment is occasionally outdoors with exposure to varying degrees of hot and cold environments.
