Jefferies Finance LLC

Jefferies Finance LLC (‘JFIN’) was founded in 2004 as a 50/50 joint venture between Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company (“MassMutual”), a global, diversified life insurance and financial services organization, and Jefferies, a leader in global investment banking.   JFIN has two primary lines of business:

• Loan Underwriting and Arrangement:  JFIN underwrites and arranges leveraged loans for Private Equity sponsors and their portfolio companies globally

• Private Credit Investment Management:  Through Jefferies Credit Partners (“JCP”), JFIN is a leading direct lender and investor in broadly syndicated loans, managing portfolios of senior debt investments made primarily to Private Equity Sponsor owned companies.  Investments are managed across multiple private credit funds, SMAs, and CLOs. 

JFIN off-cycle Analysts will gain exposure to private credit underwriting, origination, and business development

What we look for in a candidate

• Ability to multi-task and manage a variety of projects simultaneously
• Adaptability – both as part of a team and independently
• Teamwork oriented with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
• Strong technical, written and verbal communication skills
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Fluency in French, German, Dutch or a Nordic language is an advantage

You should have a strong academic background with a graduation date on or before April 2025. Although a background in accounting or finance can be helpful, we hire Interns who have studied a variety of degree disciplines.
