Intern

For our Corporate Research department within Sartorius Stedim Cellca GmbH, we are looking for an intern (x|f|m) for a Bachelor/Master thesis for at least 9 months. The position is based in Ulm, Germany.
In this role you would contribute to further develop and improve our cell line development platform for the production of biopharmaceuticals.

• The project focuses on the application of genetic engineering techniques to generate novel designer CHO cells with optimized process performance for the production of biopharmaceuticals.

• The project includes the following methods: standard molecular biology techniques (e.g. PCR), state-of-the-art genome editing tools (CRISPR/Cas), transfection and cell culture technologies for the generation of stable production cell lines, single cell generation using a robotic system, small-scale bioprocesses in fed-batch format and protein analytics (product titer, glycosylation profile)

• First experience with handling mammalian cell lines
