FA Intern
Description of team and role
This internship will benefit an individual seeking a degree in Electrical Engineering, or who already has a degree, and who wants to learn and demonstrate his/her capabilities by participating in the root cause failure analysis of semiconductor IC chips through electrical analysis and mechanical analysis. 

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
• Develop software to automate characterization of semiconductor device electrical 
characteristics using Python, Labview, C, Visual Basic, etc.
• Performing IC inspection with optical microscope and Scanning Electron Microscope.
• Electrical testing of IC’s using power supplies, oscilloscopes, parametric analyzers and 
other bench test instruments.
• Assist in the root cause failure analysis of semiconductor IC chips through 
electrical analysis and mechanical analysis.
• Mechanical deprocessing of IC chips.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Seeking a degree in electrical engineering or materials science.
• Demonstrate practical knowledge of electrical engineering principles and 
practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with a programming language.
• Familiar with electrical test instruments such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, 
parameter analyzers, curve tracers.
• Understanding of semiconductor physics
• Circuit design and analysis
