Geotab is seeking an Intern who will immediately contribute to the organization and the Communications team efforts. What you'll do:
As a Strategic Communications Intern, your key area of responsibility will be to communicate Geotab events and news to both the internal and external stakeholders. You will need to work closely with Marketing team members as well as all internal departments. To be successful in this role, you will be a self-starter with strong written and verbal communication skills, and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. In addition, the successful candidate will have a strong marketing and communications background with a passion for Public Relations and social media.
The opportunity:
- 8 month work-term beginning January 2026.
- Full-time, paid internship: Monday - Friday, 37.5hrs/week.

How you'll make an impact:
- Research and utilize the latest communications trends and actions on a continuous basis to develop and implement new best practices for strategic communications and engagement.
- Provide regular content and administrative support for Geotab’s corporate social media accounts.
- Support management of CISION media metrics, reporting, wire distribution, advising on insights, and dashboards.
- Support development of communications materials including media releases, social media, presentations, and background research/data analysis.
- Scan media, trade publications, news for trending company/industry insights to share with the team.
- Support and assist with People and Culture communication plans and execution.
What you'll bring to the role:
- Completing a post-secondary education in Communications, Public Relations or a related field preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and time management skills, as well as a willingness to learn and strong work ethic
- Excellent writer with strong eye for detail, highly professional and experience working with a variety of social media channels
- Enthusiastic, creative, and self-motivated, with the ability to work with various departments across Geotab
- Passion for technology and innovation
