The Position
Our team is part of the chapter Digital Innovation and Operational Services which enables R&D to accelerate product delivery by providing internal tool management, product documentation services, training and audit support, and driving internal digitization initiatives. This internship position is located in Sant Cugat del Vallès, Barcelona.
You will become part of the R&D Tool Lifecycle Management team which connects our diagnostics R&D through a common foundational toolset. By taking on the central ownership of internal software tools we are pushing harmonization, simplification, and effectiveness while ensuring tool compliance through a core group of CSV experts. By sharing our expert tool knowledge, bringing power users together, and introducing changes to the business, all team members aim to be a catalyst for digitalization going into the future.
Our team is based in Switzerland and Spain. You can collaborate, contribute, learn from a broad spectrum of software projects using a wide range of technologies, and make a difference in the way Roche Diagnostics products are delivered.
The team works with agile methods to ensure rapid and continuous delivery of new features. In this team, you have the ability to collaborate, contribute, and learn from a broad spectrum of software projects and you will see the impact of your work right away.
Main responsibilities
Design test cases based on functional requirements.
Continuously execute manual regression and validation tests.
Continuous support of internal customers.
Support documentation activities of the team.
Efficiently report anomalies (bugs) detected. Keep track of these anomalies.
Comply with Roche standards and methodologies for testing Software.
Present developed functionality during Team Demos
Coding of tests and test automation.
Add License Management / Release Management
Who You Are (Qualifications & Skills)
To be considered for this internship, applicants must be recent graduates within the last three years (or five years for applicants with a disability) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, possess either the Certificate of Graduation or the Provisional Degree Certificate, and hold a valid work permit for Spain.
An easygoing team player, willing to learn and cooperate in a multidisciplinary and multi-cultural team.
Engineering student eager to learn about Quality & Assurance in software development (testing) and coding.
A meticulous and detail-oriented professional, ready to follow up on established procedures and continuously enhance them.
A data-analytic person, capable of understanding how a linear report (data presented along the x/y axes) is extracted and created out of a data set.
We value database knowledge: Experience dealing with large amounts of data, SQL knowledge
Bringing development knowledge might enable activities in automated testing: .Net C#, HTML5, JavaScript, Jquery, Node.js, Selenium, postman
Good knowledge/usage of software tools in general.
Good English level (C+).
