About The Role:

We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Mechanical Design Engineering Intern to join our automotive car audio team. This internship provides hands-on experience in CAD design and development for automotive audio systems, helping you gain real-world exposure to the industry. 

What You Will Do

  • Assist in 3D/2D CAD design using CATIA V5, focusing on surfacing, sheet metal, and plastic components. 
  • Support the design and development of car audio systems, ensuring compliance with automotive standards. 
  • Participate in design reviews and collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers). 
  • Work on technical documentation, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), tolerance analysis, and BOM (Bill of Materials) creation. 
  • Support in design optimization for cost, weight, and manufacturability. 

What You Need  to be successful

  • Must be currently enrolled in or have completed a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field. 
  • Basic understanding of CAD software (Catia V5), Mechanical design principles, including materials, manufacturing processes, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing). 
  • Proficiency in CATIA V5, including surfacing, sheet metal design, and assemblies will be an advantage.
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 
  • Understanding of DFM (Design for Manufacturability) and DFA (Design for Assembly). 
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills. 
  • Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment.
