Compensation Overview

$15 - $30/hr

Hybrid role with primarily weekday hours; only a couple of evenings or weekends required as needed.

Join the People Are Why team as an Events & Engagement Intern and gain real-world experience in event planning, employee engagement. You'll work closely with a supportive and experienced team to help organize company events, handle ticketing and administrative tasks, and contribute to a positive and inclusive company culture. This is a great opportunity to learn the ins and outs of event coordination and employee engagement in a corporate setting.

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Help keep track of event tickets and respond to employee requests

  • Answer emails and direct questions to the right team member

  • Support planning for in-person and virtual events 

  • Help with event tasks like making invitations, setting schedules, coordinating vendors, and supporting post-event follow up

  • Pitch in on projects that recognize employees and build company culture

  • Gain hands-on experience in helping organize and improve how events are run.

  • Assist the team with other tasks as needed

  • Hybrid role with primarily weekday hours; only a couple of evenings or weekends required as needed (overtime eligible)

Minimum Education and Experience:

  • Some experience working in a fast-paced setting (school, job, or volunteer work counts!)

  • Basic computer skills, especially Word and Excel

  • Experience with SharePoint is a bonus, but not required

Salary Range:

$31,200.00 - $62,400.00

*This range reflects base pay only. Incentive earnings, like commissions or bonuses, are not included.
