Job Description:
The Strategic Sourcing Intern will be responsible for conducting end-to-end sourcing projects, acting as an internal consultant to assigned business units . During each project, the intern will be expected to collaborate with internal stakeholders, drafting key deliverables such as: Qualifying Questionnaires, RFP Documents, Negotiation Plans and Recommendation Decks. The intern will be responsible for completing robust bid analysis, conducting negotiations, and delivering wholistic recommendations to their stakeholders. The Strategic Sourcing Intern will also gain exposure to the contracting process as they will be responsible for drafting a formal agreement(s) with the awarded supplier(s) and overseeing the execution of that agreement.
What You'll Do:
Carries out end-to-end sourcing lifecycle activities including but not limited to: Stakeholder Engagement, Market/Industry Research, Drafting of RFx materials, Proposal Analysis, Price/Product/Service Negotiations, Formal Presentation / Recommendation, Contract Terms Negotiations, Project Closeout, etc.
Provides analytical data and information to support procurement initiatives
Develops and enhances Stakeholder relationships
Provides analytics to aid and assist in contract negotiations
Facilitates cross-functional discussions and formal meetings
Makes recommendations to stakeholders and leadership teams
Provides support with special projects as needed
What We're Looking For:
Current enrollment in a college or university with a major that aligns with the department
Knowledge of Microsoft suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Previous internship experience preferred
Experience in PowerBI is a plus
