Ovintiv’s Information Technology department offers a solid foundation of knowledge and experiential training while giving university students the opportunity to apply what they are learning in school in a real-world setting. As an intern you will spend the summer working closely with an experienced mentor(s) and be assigned work responsibilities intended to provide you with learning opportunities while delivering meaningful contributions to Ovintiv.

We are currently seeking two Information Technology Interns to work in our Denver office, which may include work assignments and projects related to:

• IT Operations – general duties may include assisting in various cloud-oriented projects, assisting with documentation of designs, standards and testing procedures, monitoring various applications and services, and troubleshooting software/hardware/network issues.
• Cybersecurity – general duties may include monitoring daily security issues and events generated by our security tools, operating security technologies to protect our systems and information infrastructure, conducting Information Security risk assessments for projects and on-demand requests, assisting with internal and external security audits and conducting security awareness presentations.
• Project Management – general duties may include analysis and project coordination for projects within IT, including Cybersecurity and IT Operations, and assisting or supporting IT Project Managers on various projects.

Required Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s in computer science, computer information systems, business or other related technology programs.
• Demonstrated solid academic results in your core courses, balanced with other work, volunteer or extracurricular experiences.
• Must be enrolled as a full-time student through December 2026.
• Must be available May 18 - August 7, 2026.

In accordance with applicable law, the following represents Ovintiv's reasonable estimate of the hiring compensation range for this role.

Hiring Hourly Range: $27.19 - $37.64 USD

Compensation may vary and will be determined by year in school.
