RGA Investments
Investments is comprised of over 190 associates located in offices in Hong Kong, London, Singapore, Toronto, and eight U.S. cities. Investments’ primary function within RGA is to invest cash flow to maximize investment income and improve profitability of business segments while remaining within the risk and rating constraints of the company. Investments plays an integral role in the growth of the business by developing customized portfolios for various and diverse business types.
Internship Overview
Internships give RGA Investments an opportunity to identify candidates to meet the future needs of our growing department while giving our interns valuable experience to jump start successful careers. As an Investment Reporting & Data intern, you will participate in reporting and data driven initiatives, including but not limited to supporting implementation of reporting software (Workiva), support of testing investment data warehouse data, reviewing investment security, trade and analytic data in to facilitate consistency and enable ongoing validations. This internship will test your analytical and problem-solving skills.
Intern Functions Include:
Enhance reporting to and help facilitate continued implementation of reporting tool (Workiva)
Use proprietary systems, purpose-built to support RGA’s innovative culture, to retrieve data and perform analysis
Support Investment Compliance team on a variety of compliance-related tasks & projects
Improving asset valuation processes by completing analyses to facilitate process automation
Creating new reports
Helping with process documentation
Work on other cross-functional projects as time permits
Characteristics of the Ideal Candidate
Must be enrolled as a full-time college student at the Junior, Senior or Graduate level pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting, or related degree program at an accredited university
Strong analytical and problem solving skills are required
The most successful interns are self-starters who adapt well to change
Solid verbal and written communication skills are necessary
Technology savvy and process improvement/automation skills
Advanced skills in the following applications and/or programming languages are a plus:
MS Office (Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint)
Data visualization software (Tableau, PowerBI etc.)
