This role offers a unique blend of technical and human-focused work as we prepare our organization for the future of artificial intelligence in the workplace. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for learning and development, organizational psychology, or education, combined with curiosity or experience in the transformative potential of AI. This internship is designed for students eager to gain hands-on experience in a highly regulated, cutting-edge industry while developing skills in mentorship, content creation, corporate communications, and technology enablement.
You’ll be working on projects that directly impact how Cencora empowers its workforce in adopting AI, including creating materials, conducting research, and supporting the enablement of communities of practice. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop core business and communication skills, explore change management strategies, and gain insights into AI's application in the workplace.
Key Responsibilities
- Content Development:
- Design and create enablement assets such as slide decks, curricula, training materials, and media posts for AI-related communities of practice.
- Perform quality assurance reviews on existing and emerging readiness and enablement deliverables to ensure accuracy and effectiveness.
- Research & Insights:
- Conduct literature and media reviews to identify emerging trends and best practices in AI learning and development.
- Prepare briefs, summaries, and recommendations to keep the team informed on cutting-edge developments in the field.
- Support & Collaboration:
- Assist in the preparation and execution of change management and technology transformation initiatives.
- Collaborate with team members to collect, describe, and analyze metrics related to AI readiness and enablement.
- Participate in stakeholder engagement efforts to understand and communicate business needs effectively.
- Educational Opportunities:
- Gain exposure to corporate communication techniques, ROI analysis (tangible and intangible), and business transformation strategies.
- Explore and evaluate AI use cases in a highly regulated industry.
- Develop public speaking, presentation, and business communication skills in a supportive learning environment.
Required Qualifications
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in a relevant field such as Organizational Psychology, Human Resources, Learning & Development, Education, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline that combines an interest in both human development and technology.
- Must not require sponsorship to work in the US, now or in the future
- Demonstrated experience (through coursework, projects, or portfolio work) in areas related to either mentorship, hybrid learning programs, or AI applications in the workplace.
- Strong interest in the intersection of human enablement and technology, with a desire to explore how AI can enhance learning, development, and organizational transformation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create, refine, and present content effectively.
- Adaptability and curiosity in exploring new concepts at the intersection of technology and human-focused initiatives.
- A clear statement of interest in the complementary area (e.g., interest in AI if coming from a human-focused background, or interest in human enablement if coming from a technical background).
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with team members.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with content creation tools (e.g., PowerPoint, Canva, or similar platforms).
- Hands-on familiarity with AI concepts, tools, or applications (e.g., machine learning, generative AI tools, automation).
- Interest in or exposure to change management concepts and organizational transformation strategies.
- Research and analysis skills, particularly in synthesizing academic or industry literature.
