Job Description

You will join our Environment & Health department 

As an intern in Ramboll’s Seattle office, you will interact with a diverse group of professional engineers and scientists in a variety of practice areas within our office, all aligned on our common mission of assisting Ramboll’s clients with their most challenging problems, and making the world a better place through our work. The Site Solutions service line consults with clients across various industries on environmental site investigations, contaminant transport and fate analysis, feasibility studies, remedial design and implementation, cost analysis, and permitting and compliance support. 
 

Tasks and Responsibilities 

  • Desktop review and analysis of environmental data for soil, groundwater, surface water, sediment, air 

  • Support with environmental data collection at project sites 

  • Review environmental regulations and assist in evaluating regulatory compliance issues 

  • Identify technologies for cleanup of contaminated sites 

  • Engage with vendors to obtain information, cost estimates, or quotes 

  • Prepare clear written summaries presenting work and findings 

  • Work collaboratively with other Ramboll team members to prepare reports that effectively communicate analyses and findings. 

Qualifications

For this role, we believe your starting point is: 

  • Candidates must have completed 6 semesters or obtained Junior status studying Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering, or another science discipline (e.g., geology, chemistry, data science, environmental science) with a GPA of 3.5 or higher 

  • Strong computing skills including high level use of spreadsheets and word processing 

  • Strong written/verbal communication, problem-solving and organization skills 

  • Ability to understand and interpret environmental regulations 

  • Programming, database, data analysis, statistics, and visualization skillsets are preferred but not required (e.g., using R, Python, GIS, Visio, and other tools)
