The Systems Engineering Co-op will work with a team of engineers to design, develop, and maintain complex systems for our organization.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in engineering and a passion for problem-solving and innovation.

The co-op will work closely with senior engineers to learn and develop skills in areas such as requirements analysis, system architecture, system design, and system testing.

What you can expect to do here:

  • Participate in requirements gathering and analysis for complex systems
  • Assist in the development of system architectures and designs
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of system components
  • Assist in the development and execution of system testing plans
  • Participate in design reviews and other team meetings to provide technical input and feedback
  • Continuously improve systems engineering processes and procedures
  • Collaborate with team members to develop innovative solutions to complex problems
  • Document system design and development processes

What you’ll bring to WSP:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Experience with system engineering tools and methodologies is a plus
  • Knowledge of programming languages is a plus

Working Conditions:

  • The Systems Engineering Co-op will work in an office environment and may occasionally be required to work in a laboratory, construction or manufacturing environment.
  • The co-op may be required to work outside of normal business hours to meet project deadlines. Some travel may be required to support project activities.
  • This is a full-time co-op position with a duration of 8-12 months, depending on the needs of the organization. 

Compensation

Salary range (in British Colombia): $24.50 - $32.25

The final salary awarded for this role may vary from the above range based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
