As an Operational Excellence Engineering Intern, you will have the opportunity to work on an engineering team where curiosity, learning, and innovation are at the heart of everything we do. This is a critical role in the OPEX(Operational Excellence) Team at the Site and will report into the Site Operational Excellence Manager. This role is fundamental in executing the Continuous Improvement Plans for the Site, to achieve its growth and profitability objectives. This position will be working at the Haleon manufacturing site in the engineering department located in the downtown St. Louis, MO.

What will your individual contribution at Haleon be?

  • Support the execution of Fit for Growth (F4G) projects, assisting with data gathering, documentation, and coordination across teams.
  • Help track and report on the site’s waste reduction program, identifying opportunities for improvement and sharing findings with the OPEX team.
  • Maintain and update HAPS tools to ensure accurate and consistent usage across departments, and assist with troubleshooting basic user issues.
  • Provide peer-level training and support on the HAPS system, helping new users understand how to navigate and apply the tool in daily tasks.
  • Assist in deploying digital systems like Solvace for collecting OEE loss data and improving Tier Meeting workflows, including setup and basic configuration.

Requirements:

  • Pursuing a BS degree in Engineering
  • Good Computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel
  • Must have an active student status
  • Must be eligible to work in the US at the time of, and for the duration of, their employment. Employees will be required to furnish evidence of US work authorization
  • Must be eligible to work onsite on a full-time basis during the internship duration (40 hours/week) and provide their own funding for relocation and commuting.

Preferred requirements:

  • OPEX Knowledge – Knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma concepts

Rate: $24.50
