Job Description

  • During this internship, you will gain an in-depth insight into the development of acceleration sensors, which are silicon-based micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS). You will be actively involved in developing our newest sensor generation, regularly tackling project-related tasks.
  • As part of this assignment you will build experience in sensors, microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) and application-specific integrated circuits (ASIC) as well as in the corresponding measurement technology including the introduction to the current state of the art.
  • You will have the opportunity to actively participate in planning and implementing experiments, conducting simulations, analyzing big data, and applying machine learning. This will include automating measurements and measurement technology.
  • Finally, you will be responsible for presenting your experimental results and evaluations concerning the performance of prototypes or high-volume types to the development team.

Qualifications

  • Education: studies in a technical or scientific field, preferably Electrical Engineering, Mechatronical Engineering, Physics, Microsystem Engineering, Computer Science or comparable
  • Experience and Knowledge: in programming and simulation (e.g. MATLAB/Simulink, Python, C); hands-on experience in laboratory measurements, data analysis and evaluation; familiarity with advanced measurement technology
  • Qualification: driver licence class B (valid in Germany, optional)
  • Personality and Working Practice: you work committed and goal-oriented, in a structured and independent way, while thriving as a team player
  • Enthusiasm: interested in MEMS based sensors and new technologies as well as experimental work in a team
  • Languages: fluent in English, German is a plus
