Essential Duties:
- Supervise Residency Classification staff and ensure quality customer service across all channels.
- Provide comprehensive supervision including hiring, training, performance management, and scheduling.
- Evaluate and process complex residency petitions and escalated cases.
- Support and collaborate with the University's Residency Petition Review Board.
- Develop and maintain correspondence, reports, procedures, and training materials.
- Collaborate with Admissions, Student Business Services, Financial Assistance, and Arizona Board of Regents.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Experience working in Higher Education, especially, admissions, financial aid or academic advising.
- Demonstrated knowledge of FERPA
- Demonstrated knowledge of ASU policies and procedures.
- Demonstrated knowledge of supervisory practices and procedures.
- Demonstrated knowledge of residency classification policies and requirements.
- Experience making complex or complicated decisions based on policies, procedures and objective evidence.
- Evidence of effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with providing and promoting high quality customer service.
- Experience fostering a positive team environment.
Working Environment:
Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding, and manipulating a computer mouse; required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk moderate distances to perform work. Occasional bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling up to 25 pounds. Regular activities require ability to quickly change priorities which may include and/or are subject to resolution of conflicts. Ability to clearly communicate to perform essential functions.
