QTS' summer internship program will provide you first hand experience into the fast paced world of the data center industry by providing weekly lunch and learns, a comprehensive orientation program, and site based activities, socials and volunteering events. Every intern will be assigned initiatives tied to real QTS objectives helping with anything pertaining to the whole life-cycle of a data center build and/or company operations.
The Construction Services Procurement Intern will be immersed in a variety initiatives with varying needs and stages. Responsibilities can include, but aren't limited to the following:
Construction Services Procurement Intern:
Assist with RFP (request for proposals) design, auditing, issue or research
Participate in internal team calls and cost calls with vendors and other collaborative partners
Perform cost comparison and draft presentations based off of findings
Gain familiarity with pre-development, development, commissioning and other stages of builds
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Construction Science, Construction Management, Procurement, Supply Chain or similar degree program
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint for presentations and Excel for data analysis and budgeting.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Current full-time enrollment in one of QTS’s partner institutions (listed below) or a Blackstone Launchpad affiliate school:
Auburn University
Kansas State University
Georgia State University
Southern Adventist University
Texas A&M University
University of Kansas
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Previous internship or co-op experience in construction, finance, technology, HR, facilities engineering, or related industries.
Experience with data analysis tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
Involvement in community activities outside of schoolwork (athletics, clubs, volunteering, part-time employment).
