POSITION SUMMARY:
• The position is within the HeartSine R&D Team. The role involves assisting with the design and development of innovative defibrillator technology and support systems. This is an opportunity to apply design, creativity, and professional and technical expertise to help save lives.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY: What you will do:
Technical Responsibilities:
• Input to the design and development of electronic systems and/or products.
• Input to the development of system or product test requirements, methods, and specifications.
• Apply circuit and system test methods for problem solving and evaluation of solutions.
• Conduct prototyping and bench testing.
• Execute protocols to verify and validate solutions against their requirements.
• Liaise with suppliers of equipment and/or design related components.
Business Responsibilities:
• Learn about the product’s intended use.
Med Device Compliance:
• With supervision, create or refine engineering documentation, such as work instructions, schematics, BOMs, design descriptions, etc. per company design control procedures.
• Learn R&D procedures like design controls & risk management, per the Quality Management System.
General Responsibilities:
• Work cooperatively with the team to ensure project success and contribute to the project as a team member.
• Comply with training requirements, learn procedures, policies, processes, systems, and technology required.
• Support continuous improvement activities, document, and implement solutions per procedures.
• Demonstrate ownership and integrity of work.
• Build stable relationships.
• Maintain awareness of Company Health and Safety Policy and Fire Evacuation Procedure and take all reasonable precautions against personal harm and/or injury
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: What you will need (strongly desired):
Essential Technical Skills / Experience:
• Basic knowledge of electronics.
• Ability to read and interpret basic electrical drawings.
• Basic knowledge of, or exposure to an object orientated programming language, e.g., C, C++ or C#.
Preferred Skills / Experience:
• An interest in electronics design and development.
• Basic soldering ability.
• Competency with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook and capable of producing high quality documentation.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Conscientious with attention to detail.
• Able to work individually or within a team.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: What you will need (must have):
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
• Applicants should be studying (but not have completed) a Bachelor's degree in Electronics or related discipline.
• 0+ years of work experience.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: What you will need:
• Office / laboratory environment, significant computer usage, extended hours as needed (37.5 nominal), occasional travel.Travel Percentage: None
