At RGA, we're seeking summer interns for the Global Technology department. There are several opportunities to learn and begin working side-by-side with technology teams spanning software development, cloud services, cybersecurity, infrastructure, information management, data analytics, technology strategy, and project management.


You will be offered a position within a specific area of Global Technology during the interview process. Summer projects and responsibilities will vary based on your placement. While your primary responsibilities will depend on your team placement, you will have other opportunities to learn about the business and network with other interns through RGA’s core internship program.

Participants can expect:

  • 10-week paid summer internship aimed at helping to explore the technology field
  • Impactful and relevant projects that align and support RGA's strategic business initiatives
  • Networking opportunities with key stakeholders and senior leadership
  • Group activities with the fellow cohort, including social and volunteer events based out of our Global Headquarters in Chesterfield, Missouri.

Performs complex administrative and general project management tasks under direct supervision. The scope of routine activities and tasks in this role will be in support of one or more functional areas, the department or division. The Project Coordinator will often perform a supporting role in project managers or leaders of larger, more complex initiatives.


What you will do

  • Provides proactive, highly responsible and confidential support for departmental activities, divisional projects and functions as determined by leadership.
  • Creates and manages project plans, tracks project progress against milestones, captures, tracks and communicates progress reports, prepares project team meeting agendas, facilitates project discussions and produces notes.
  • Performs increasingly complex analysis including gathering, formatting, and presenting financial information and other operational metrics across the department / program.
  • Produces increasingly complex correspondence, collects data and produces spreadsheets, assembles data and produces reports and develops presentation materials as needed.
  • Coordinates and maintains schedules for individuals and groups; plans, facilitates and oversees internal meetings and events as directed.


Qualifications

  • Must be currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, ideally in a relevant discipline (Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Data Analytics, or other data or technology-related majors)
  • Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA; additional requirements may apply
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Eagerness to learn new skills and technologies
  • Ability to provide information in a clear, concise manner
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships
  • Effective analytical skills to gather information, analyze facts, and draw conclusions
  • Basic project coordination and/or project management Preferred
  • Familiarity with working in a technology-centric organization Preferred
  • Familiarity with the insurance industry Preferred
  • Microsoft Office application experience (Excel, Word, Visio, Teams, SharePoint) Preferred
  • Familiarity with MS Project or equivalent project management tools Preferred
  • Introductory knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle Preferred
