We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Manufacturing Engineering Co-op to join our dynamic team. As a Manufacturing Engineering Co-op, you will play a pivotal role in bringing new product to market, supporting our global manufacturing lines, and maintaining a high level of quality throughout our builds. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, Excel proficiency, and the ability to work onsite to effectively execute tasks that require a physical presence.

This role is onsite, based out of Toronto.
Responsibilities:
- Failure Analysis: Assist in investigating and analyzing manufacturing failures and product defects. Utilize root cause analysis techniques to identify issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Detailed Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of manufacturing processes, quality metrics, and project progress. Ensure all documentation meets company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Supplier Communication: Engage with suppliers to address quality concerns, resolve issues, and ensure the timely delivery of materials. Support the development of strong relationships with suppliers to enhance collaboration and efficiency.
- Process Improvement: Contribute to the development and implementation of process improvements aimed at increasing efficiency, reducing waste, and enhancing product quality.
- Data Analysis: Analyze manufacturing data to identify trends, performance metrics, and areas for improvement. Prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings to the engineering team.
- Project Support: Assist with various engineering projects, including new product introductions, equipment upgrades, and process optimizations. Provide support in project planning, execution, and evaluation.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Detail-Oriented: Demonstrated ability to focus on minute details while maintaining an understanding of the larger project goals. Precision in documenting and analyzing data is crucial.
- Failure Analysis: Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to diagnose and resolve manufacturing issues. Familiarity with failure analysis techniques and tools is preferred.
- Supplier Communication: Excellent communication skills for effectively interacting with suppliers and internal teams. Experience or coursework in supply chain management or procurement is a plus.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in engineering software and tools (e.g., CAD, Minitab, Excel) is advantageous. A basic understanding of manufacturing processes and principles is required.
- Team Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, contributing to group projects and supporting colleagues as needed.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to approach problems methodically and develop innovative solutions.
