The Role
We’re looking for an Employee Engagement Intern to join our People & Culture team on a hybrid basis in San Jose, CA, reporting to the Senior Program & Change Manager.
In this role, you will help us turn strategy into reality. You won’t just be observing; you will be supporting a myriad of employee engagement initiatives that shape our employee experience—think in-office offerings, culture transformation, and digital engagements. You will assist in the "people side" of change, helping to drive program and initiative adoption across the organization.
What You’ll Do (Role Expectations)
- Assist in the design and delivery of Employee Engagement initiatives and change management plans.
- You will help create the "how" behind the "what," crafting communications and resources that drive genuine adoption of new tools and behaviors.
- Assist with Change Management activities related to new programs, policies , and system changes that impact the entire employee base, examples include:
- Partnering with the team to curate and execute initiatives that make the hybrid workplace vibrant and collaborative, ensuring our San Jose HQ reflects our culture of connection.
- Embedding of our Zscaler "Ways of Working" across the organization. You will help organize campaigns and events that encourage collaboration, ownership, and a healthy challenge culture.
- Help monitor the health of engagement programs by collecting employee feedback/data, tracking project timelines, and assisting with the coordination of cross-functional stakeholders.

What We’re Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)
- Currently pursuing a degree in Communications, Psychology, Organizational Psychology, Business Administration, or Human Resources.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem solving, and communication skills.
- Motivated self-starter with passion for innovation and technology.
- Ability to multitask, organize details, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- Passion for working and learning from other team members.
- Experience creating new processes and implementing them on a large scale.
- Coursework or interest in Organizational Development, Change Management, or Internal Communications.
- Experience in organizing events or leading student organizations.

Zscaler’s salary ranges are benchmarked and are determined by role and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations and could be higher or lower based on a multitude of factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
The base salary range listed for this full-time position excludes commission/ bonus/ equity (if applicable) + benefits.
