Role Description

FreeWheel, a Comcast company, is hiring a graduate intern on the Product Management team as a User Experience Designer. A successful candidate will engage with clients, engineering, marketing, sales, services, and other Product Designers while helping develop the next generation of product capabilities. This opportunity offers the right candidate a chance to shape a key product in the FreeWheel portfolio and drive the future of the video advertising industry.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and engineers, to understand project requirements and user needs.

  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs to visualize user interfaces and product features.

  • Conduct user research and usability testing to gather valuable insights and feedback for design iterations.

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of design systems and guidelines.

  • Contribute to the design process from concept to implementation, ensuring a user-centered and visually appealing final product.

  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in user experience and product design.

  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

PreferredSkills

  • Strong foundation in user-centered design, UX/UI principles, and visual design

  • Strong passion for user-centered design principles

  • Proficiency in design tools like Figma, Sketch, and/or Adobe Creative Suite, with experience in wireframing and prototyping

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate design decisions

  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to conduct user research, usability testing, and synthesize insights

  • Effective collaborator with openness to feedback

  • Preferred Majors: Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), User Experience (UX) Design, Interaction Design, Industrial Design, Visual Communication/Graphic Design, Computer Science (with design electives or product-focused track), Digital Media/New Media Studies, Product Design or Design Strategy graduate programs, or related field

Minimum Qualifications and Eligibility Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree from a United States-based college or university 

  • Rising Junior or Rising Senior only (must have a graduation date between Winter 2026- Spring 2028) 

  • Returning to degree-program (for at least a semester) after the completion of the summer internship (meaning, student must be returning to school for Fall 2026 semester before graduating)  

  • Available to work 40 hours per week over the course of the summer program starting June 1, 2026, through August 14, 2026 

  • Authorized to work in the United States with no current or future sponsorship needs 

  • Available to report in-person to the work location on the job posting (unless virtual offering)

Compensation

Base Pay: $40.00
