Wood is looking for students interested in accessing the professional world through external academic internships and offers the possibility to put into practice and expand the knowledge acquired during their academic career.
Students will get the opportunity to enter the upstream, midstream and downstream oil and gas industry, and energy industry, as we look to develop your background in conceptual engineering studies, pre-FEED, FEED, EPC and PMC projects.

- Minimum in the last academic year of degree in Business Administration, Engineering or similar
- Ready to work in an international environment and to learn international procurement practices.
- Academic situation that allows signing an agreement with a university or training center (preferable)
- Availability in the morning
- Excellent knowledge of English
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
- Interested in pursuing a career in Engineering within the Oil, Gas & Energy Industry
The selected candidate will cooperate assisting and directly performing – under the mentorship of senior colleagues – specific tasks as follows:
Pre - order purchasing activities for major global Oil & Gas EPC projects:
- Management of Non-Disclosure Agreements with vendors
- Issuing Request for Quotation for the supply of project material & equipment, and obtaining competitive quotations in a timely manner
- Evaluating all factors involved, and negotiating lowest price and requested delivery
- Providing input for Purchasing Reports and follow-up actions relating to items for which the Buyer is responsible
- Preparing and initiating Bid Tabulations and Purchase Orders for all items to be purchased
- Checking Purchase order invoices according with the Purchase order milestones.
- Follow Purchase orders until delivery of the material/equipment, aligned with project schedule.
- Accomplishing all duties delegated by the Manager, Purchasing or Project Procurement Manager
- Complying with the code of business conduct and ethics, corporate policies, procedures and work practice
- Ensuring the correct finalization of orders in accordance with project procurement execution plan
