Your Impact

As a Merchandising Tech Enablement Intern, you’ll work at the intersection of retail strategy, technology, and operations. You’ll help Lowe’s transform the merchandising experience through technology solutions that drive efficiency, consistency, and innovation across our product categories. This role is ideal for someone passionate about solving business challenges with tech, improving processes, and enhancing data-driven decision-making.

You’ll partner with product managers, engineers, and business analysts to explore how Lowe’s leverages platforms and tools to streamline product setup, pricing, inventory visibility, and customer experience—from vendor onboarding to the digital shelf.

Our 10-week summer internship program (May 26 – July 31, 2026) immerses you in real-world retail operations. You’ll work directly with industry experts across our stores, distribution centers, and corporate offices, gaining practical experience through hands-on projects that make meaningful contributions to our business and communities.

This internship is based at our headquarters in Mooresville, North Carolina. Our corporate office is a space where you can collaborate and do your best work. Take a walk, grab a bite (or a cup of coffee), work out or get a check-up – we invest in you so you can find your inspiration.

What You Will Learn

  • How Lowe’s supports merchandising through internal platforms and enterprise tools.

  • Agile methodologies and how product teams prioritize work for merchandising solutions.

  • The process of gathering business requirements and translating them into tech features.

  • How to assess the impact of merchandising tools on user experience and business outcomes.

  • Collaboration with engineering, UX, and data teams to deliver scalable solutions.

  • Use of project tracking, data analysis, and documentation tools to manage product lifecycles.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in business analytics, information systems, computer science, data science, or related field.

  • Expected graduation dates of December 2026 or May 2027.

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • 3.0 cumulative GPA or higher.

  • Proficient in MS Office Programs (specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

  • Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills.

  • Familiarity with product lifecycle tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence), Excel, and reporting tools.

  • Experience in a leadership position at work, school, or within a campus organization.

  • Interest in the intersection of retail, merchandising, and technology.
