About the role
Tidal Financial Group is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Business Development Coordinator to join our team as a co-op student from Northeastern University. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in business development and support our team in driving growth and building strong client relationships.
What you'll do
- Meeting Coordination: Schedule and organize meetings for the business development team, ensuring all logistical details are managed efficiently.
- Follow-Up Communication: Send follow-up emails and communications after meetings to ensure ongoing engagement with clients and prospects.
- Note-Taking: Attend meetings and take detailed notes, summarizing key points and action items for distribution to relevant stakeholders.
- Research: Conduct market research to identify potential clients and business opportunities, providing insights to the business development team.
- Database Management: Maintain and update client and prospect databases, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
- Document Preparation: Assist in the preparation of presentations, proposals, and other business development materials.
- Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the business development team, including managing calendars, handling correspondence, and organizing files.
- Event Planning: Assist in planning and coordinating business development events, including client meetings, conferences, and networking events.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a co-op program at Northeastern University, preferably in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Detail-oriented with strong note-taking and documentation skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Previous experience in a business development or administrative support role is a plus.
