The Video Computer Vision (VCV) team is dedicated to fundamental and applied research in computer vision and machine learning. Our team delivered the gaze tracking system fundamental to the Apple Vision Pro and continues developing solutions for Apple’s next generation products. We are seeking a research intern who is passionate about shaping the future of Apple products and excited to contribute to the next wave of transformative computer vision experiences.

Minimum Qualifications

Currently pursuing an MS or PhD degree in Computer Science, or a related field. PhD Students are preferred for research-focused internships. At the end of the internship, you must return to school to continue your education or the internship must be the last requirement for you to graduate. Strong understanding of generative models and/or multi-modal foundation models. Deep understanding in machine learning / deep learning fundamentals Fluency in Python and Machine Learning Frameworks (i.e. PyTorch) is required. Demonstrable problem solving and analytical thinking abilities. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Hands-on experience with vision foundation models. Strong software engineering skills and familiarity with developing code in larger codebases Publication record at top conferences such as CVPR, ECCV, ICCV, NeurIPS or SIGGRAPH is a plus. Availability for 6 months minimum is preferred. Industry experience is a plus.

This position requires highly-motivated individuals who want to join us working at the intersection of the fast-moving field of large-scale models and shipping Apple’s hardware projects.
