What you'll be doing
About the team
The team is looking for a Software Developer Co-op that is eager to learn, detail-oriented, and knows how to work independently and within a team. In this role, you will support a collaborative Mobile application team in testing and building the PayByPhone Android application using modern technologies and practices. Every member contributes to the technical roadmap and helps shape technical direction. You can make an impact here.
Here’s what you’ll do:
Writing test code and script to test our newly built features, from the UI down to the sub-components within the application
Expanding our build and test automation with Continuous Integration system
Writing code for new features and bugfixes
Participating in code reviews to share knowledge and improve code quality
Assisting with manual testing of the application
Qualifications and Skills
Currently enrolled in the co-op program
Working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering
Make regular contributions to the team's processes, roadmap, and architecture
The nice-to-haves:
Experience with development and test of Android applications, in particular the use of Android Studio, and the Java or Kotlin programming language
Commonly used scripting languages
