Position Summary:

The Information Technology Intern at ParetoHealth supports our Information Technology department, specifically IT Infrastructure and Systems.

The Information Technology (IT) department at ParetoHealth is the backbone of our innovation, responsible for developing and maintaining systems that support our mission of delivering exceptional employee benefits solutions. The team focuses on creating secure, scalable, and efficient platforms that empower both our internal teams and clients. From managing cloud-based infrastructure to implementing cutting-edge analytics tools, our IT department plays a critical role in streamlining operations and driving data-driven decisions. With a strong emphasis on collaboration, security, and adaptability, the IT team ensures that ParetoHealth remains at the forefront of technological advancement in the healthcare benefits space.

Competencies desired:

  • Basic understanding of networking principles (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP). 
  • Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems.   
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices is desirable.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A proactive and resourceful approach to learning and task execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing and maintaining IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and storage systems.
  • Provide technical support for hardware, software, and connectivity issues across the organization.
  • Perform routine system maintenance tasks, such as updates, backups, and patching.
  • Monitor system performance and security, escalating issues as necessary.
  • Collaborate on the implementation of new technologies and infrastructure upgrades.
  • Document processes, system configurations, and troubleshooting steps to enhance IT operations.
  • Participate in projects aimed at improving infrastructure efficiency and scalability.
  • Support endpoint management, including troubleshooting and asset tracking.

About you:

  • Must be a Junior, or Senior attending an accredited College or University.
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Ability to work in our Philadelphia, PA office beginning in June through August.
