Role description: 

Symphony’s success relies heavily on our ability to deliver intuitive, fabulous user experiences to raise the bar for elegance and efficiency in business communication. To accomplish this, we need an extraordinary user experience and product design organisation that’s hardworking, insightful, and excited to tackle huge challenges. That’s where you come in. We're looking for a creative and detail focused Senior Product Designer with product design experience focused across the back-end and application side of Symphony’s offering.

You’ll be a maker, a doer, and someone passionate to continue developing new skills.

Our ideal candidate is a design generalist and interaction design expert who is as comfortable hashing out big-picture workflows and strategy as they are prototyping detailed visual and interaction execution.

As part of your application, we require a portfolio showing your recent work, highlighting relevant abilities and experiences. We’d like to see how you work, think, collaborate and contribute to great design outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Solve design problems end-to-end, from identifying user needs and business goals, generating multiple concepts, crafting interactions and UI details, and handing off designs to other team members
  • Organise and deliver design-thinking led workshops
  • Clearly explain and justify design decisions
  • Provide input to determine user research activities
  • Collaborate with cross functional partners and peers
  • Mentor junior designers through feedback and guidance

Qualifications:

  • A university degree in Interaction Design or a related field.
  • A final year student.
  • Eager to learn and collaborate with various departments in the company.
  • A solutions-oriented design approach.
  • Confidence when articulating rationales and presenting designs.
  • Basic knowledge with contemporary design methods and prototyping tools like Penpot or Figma.
  • Proficiency in English.
