Job Description

Programme Essentials

To join one of our 12-month Internships you must meet one of the following criteria:

  1. You’re currently an undergraduate studying at University and returning to full time education in Autumn 2027
  2. You’re looking to gain work experience after completing your A-Levels, an equivalent course or an Apprenticeship

Additionally, you must be eligible to work in the UK without restriction for the duration of the internship from Monday 29th June 2026 – Friday 23rd July 2027.

We recommend applying to just one internship role, this helps ensure your application is considered for the opportunity that best matches your interests and skills. Choosing one allows us to focus on what excites you most and where you’ll shine brightest.

What will I be doing?

The Operations intern role is designed to support the Operations and Productions teams in all day-to-day requirements, supporting the entire Universal Pictures Content Group (UPCG) team operationally. UPCG is a dynamic and pivotal team within the Filmed Entertainment Group; we work on a range of content unique to the NBCU business and separate (but often complementary) to the Studio titles, across genres including film, documentaries, stand-up comedy, music, sports, family entertainment, events & special interest.

You will be completing tasks such as:

  • Setting up crucial screenings on our online viewing platforms, for both internal and external contacts
  • Raising POs and invoices
  • Researching assets for older titles
  • Helping to take delivery of our content
  • Organising delivery of content to film festivals
  • Ensuring Content Protection measures are adhered to
  • Generally leveraging efficiency throughout the team

What will I learn from this opportunity?

The Operations intern will become a super user of our online secure screening systems and be the go-to person for these requests throughout the placement. You will become familiar with some financial processes such as raising POs, setting up new vendors & customers and raising invoice requests. Most importantly, you will learn how the media industry works operationally; how we bring content into the business, why and how we carry out quality checks (QCs), how we strive to protect our content, always, and who we communicate with along the way, which can be anyone from artists, talent and  agents to licensors, producers and vendors. You will become familiar with all the processes and systems we use internally to get a title from delivery to release across multiple platforms and in multiple territories.

Qualifications

What do I need to bring to the role?

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Very high level of attention to detail.
  • Able to learn quickly and manage your time effectively.
  • Solid experience with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Enthusiasm for the film & TV industry as a whole.

The responsibilities associated with this position are not limited to the above description and may be modified at any time by the Company.
