The Corporate Strategy & Innovation team is an internal strategy group that acts as a trusted advisor to executives and business leaders by providing thought partnership, strategic analysis, and insights. The group leads several key functions for Schwab to support informed decision making, including leading key strategic initiatives for our executives, maintaining perspectives on broader industry trends and Schwab’s competitive landscape, and supporting the annual corporate strategic planning cycle. Corporate Strategy supports the Board, C-suite, and senior leaders, and is responsible for delivering thoughtful, insightful contributions across a range of high-level strategic projects.

There are 4 opportunities within Strategy & Innovation for interns as follows:

Corporate Development (Opportunity in Westlake, TX)

As a key member of the Corporate Development team, the Intern will help evaluate acquisition, divestiture, and strategic investment opportunities, coordinate due diligence processes, and participate in the overall execution of transactions. This may include helping to:

  • Prepare presentations which outline the strategic and financial rationale for transactions for senior management and the Board of Directors
  • Partner with cross-functional teams across Schwab to coordinate and administer due diligence efforts
  • Coordinate communications among project teams, senior Schwab management, external advisors, and counterparties

Corporate Vendor Management (Opportunities in Austin, TX)

As a Corporate Vendor Management Intern, you will have a unique opportunity to understand the day-to-day vendor management functions, as well as gain department-wide knowledge through 1x1 interactions, providing ideas for process improvements, and through project work. You will partner with members of the CVM team to understand the department’s processes, regulatory requirements, systems, and data. Through this work, you will understand the importance of collaboration between CVM teams and gain exposure to business units across the company.  We value talent and professionalism and may be offering career opportunities at the conclusion of the internship.
