JOB DESCRIPTION:

As a member of the State Street Investment Management (SSIM) investment team, you will have an opportunity to work with the various functional teams across SSIM, within the Strategy and Operations for Investments group.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Strategy and Operations for Investments group’s purpose is enablement of the investment professionals, guidance on risk, and efficient and effective operations. During your time here, you will:

  • get involved with business strategy and planning for the Investment team

  • analyze effective usage of data across the investment platform

  • contribute to evolving investment technology solutions for investment management and workflows

  • participate in projects to support development of new investment capabilities, including the end to process of managing those new products

  • work with different asset classes and investment professionals to facilitate their activity

  • be responsible for completing requested tasks from Team Members and Management in a timely and professional manner.

  • can attend SSIM sponsored events to learn more about the ever-changing landscape of financial services and to build your own professional network across the firm.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, ability to execute independently yet also maintain strong team orientation

  • Passion for investment management, embrace teamwork, and possess high-end interpersonal skills and strong written and verbal communication capabilities.

  • A problem-solving, strategic mindset, coupled with an ability to pick up complex concepts quickly

  • Strong written and verbal communications skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, Python, SQL and Web application development.

  • Exposure to Investment Management and working knowledge of Tableau is a strong plus.

EDUCATION

  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree (BA/BS)

Salary Range:

$41,600 - $65,000 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
