Overview

Willow Valley Communities is hiring a Host/Hostess to welcome Residents and guests to the dining room in one of our Independent Living buildings! The Host/Hostess coordinates the seating of diners and monitors the activities of servers to provide exceptional customer service.

Wage:

• $15.50/hour

Responsibilities:

• Ensures prompt courteous service for Residents and guests following Willow Valley standards.
• Escorts Residents and guests to their table, provides menus, gives specials and pours ice water.
• Monitors adherence to the dress code for Residents and guests.
• Responsible for the set-up and monitoring of special functions, in addition to the normal daily operations.
• Prepares Daily Meal Served Report and other reports as assigned.
• Posts daily menus, copies and enlarges as directed
• Assists with clearing and resetting tables at the conclusion of the meal for the next group of diners or next meal period. 
• Assigns work tasks and coordinates activities of the servers and bus persons.
• Inspects dining rooms and serving stations for neatness and cleanliness. Requisition table linens and other dining room supplies for tables and serving stations. 
• Maintains a smooth flow of dining room functions to ensure Willow Valley standards are met.
• Follows Willow Valley’s HACCP plan and Food Safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Excellent customer service required
• Portray a professional image in dress and mannerisms

• Part Time

Schedule:

• 2-3 weekdays + every other weekend and every other holiday, Mondays-Saturdays 4:00pm-8:15pm, Sundays 6:30am-3:15pm or 11:00am-3:15pm
