Job Summary

A day in the life of a Transformation & Process Management Intern might include:

• Support Process Documentation & Mapping: Assist in documenting current business processes and identifying areas for improvement.

• Participate in Process Redesign Projects: Contribute to initiatives that streamline workflows, improve efficiency, and enhance customer experience.

• Help Coordinate Process Events: Assist in planning and executing meetings, workshops, and deliverables related to process improvement efforts.

• Analyze Operational Data: Compile and interpret data to support process performance reviews and identify trends or bottlenecks.

• Contribute to Change Enablement: Help develop communication materials and support stakeholder engagement during process transitions.

•Collaborate Across Teams: Work with business analysts, project managers, and operations teams to understand how transformation efforts are implemented.

• Contribute to Citizen Development Initiatives: Leverage democratized tools and data platforms to help build and enhance business processes and applications, empowering teams to solve problems and innovate with a reduced dependence on traditional IT resources.

About You

A successful Transformation & Process Management Intern at Nationwide has:

Education

  • Pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Management Information Systems (MIS), Business Analytics, Supply Chain Management, Organizational Leadership, Systems Engineering or a related field.
  • Completion of sophomore or junior year is preferred
  • Involvement in student activities and/or some work experience

Skills/Competencies

• Strong written and verbal communication

• Detail-oriented with strong organization skills

• Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks

• Team-oriented mindset and collaborative spirit

• Professionalism and accountability

• Basic proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint

• Exposure to process mapping tools (e.g., Visio, Lucid chart) is a plus

• Interest in project management and business operations

• Ability to think critically and interpret business problems

• Familiarity with business terminology and customer service concepts
